SAN DIEGO and CANBERRA, Australia — November 18, 2024 — Liquid Instruments, a leader in reconfigurable test instrumentation, was awarded the Innovative Test and Measurement Company Award at the 2024 Electronics Era Excellence & Achievers Awards. This honor recognizes forward-thinking companies across a range of technology sectors for outstanding contributions to innovation, creativity, and leadership.

Sponsored by Electronics Era — India’s leading electronics publication covering global trends — the awards highlight companies advancing the future of technology in categories including Semiconductors, Automotive, IoT, Automation, Power, Consumer Electronics, and Test and Measurement.

Honored for its innovative engineering and top performance, the Moku test and measurement platform from Liquid Instruments harnesses the processing power of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) to deliver a complete suite of instruments — from bench essentials like an oscilloscope to advanced tools like a lock-in amplifier — all on one flexible device.

“No innovation happens without proper quality test and measurement equipment,” Electronics Era said in the virtual awards ceremony. “The Innovative Test and Measurement Company Award goes to Liquid Instruments.”

Following this award, Liquid Instruments is pleased to recap several milestones from 2024:

  • March: Launched its FPGA-based Moku test platform for Apple Vision Pro, delivering new capabilities for optics research fully untethered from the lab bench.
  • April: Introduced the Moku Time & Frequency Analyzer, enabling advanced applications in photon counting, oscillator characterization, and more.
  • June: Secured $12 million in funding from Breakthrough Victoria to advance AI development and open a new office in Melbourne, Australia.
  • October: Released the Moku Neural Network for Moku:Pro — the first-ever FPGA-based neural network integrated with reconfigurable test instrumentation — to enable real-time deployment of machine learning models to physical systems.
  • Education partnership: Collaborated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in Karnataka, India, to integrate Moku technology into the engineering curriculum across more than 150 colleges this fall, empowering students with advanced tools to prepare for the modern workforce.

“We’ve always believed that reconfigurable, software-defined instruments are the future,” said Daniel Shaddock, co-founder and CEO of Liquid Instruments. “Our tools keep getting better with new features and capabilities, and we’re thrilled to keep pushing the limits of what’s possible in test and measurement.”
