Upgraded features for Moku:Pro and Moku:Go improve automated test, advanced use cases, and more

    A range of upgrades launched today for Moku:Pro and Moku:Go to support new use cases, increase the capabilities of four instruments, and enable automation and remote accessibility for Moku Cloud Compile and Multi-instrument Mode. 

    Release 2.5 brings new enhancements for the Phasemeter, Lock-in Amplifier, Laser Lock Box, and Frequency Response Analyzer.

    Expanded API support for advanced instrument configurations

    API support for Multi-instrument Mode and Moku Cloud Compile allows you to programmatically query and control advanced measurement configurations using Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.

    If you’re working on automated test systems, you can now deploy and configure multiple instruments to a single device and perform tests with Multi-instrument Mode programmatically. You can also easily control custom DSP blocks in an automated test environment using Moku Cloud Compile.

    Instrument upgrades

    New capabilities are available to expand the functionality of the Phasemeter, Lock-in Amplifier, Frequency Response Analyzer, and Laser Lock Box to address more use cases in applications including microscopy, spectroscopy and quantum computing.

    Harmonic demodulation in the Lock-in Amplifier

    The external PLL local oscillator mode in the Lock-in Amplifier now offers the ability to multiply or divide the input signal up to 250x or down to 0.125x. This enables harmonic demodulation for applications including:

    • Instantaneous speed estimation
    • Microscopy
    • Optical interferometry
    • Power systems analysis
    • Spectroscopy
    • Vibration and distortion analysis

    This feature is also included in the Laser Lock Box for direct integration with laser stabilization systems.

    Moku:Pro Phasemeter

    The Phasemeter amplitude and frequency offset signals can now be routed to the front panel output connectors of Moku:Pro. Additionally, the phase-locked sine wave output option can now be frequency multiplied up to 250x or down to 0.125x. These can be used to:

    • Drive other system components or log data externally.
    • Distribute high-precision, arbitrary-frequency clocks.
    • Generate very-high harmonics (1000th to 10,000th harmonics and above) for qubit control using chained Phasemeters in Multi-instrument Mode.
    • Perform offset phase and frequency locking.
    • Provide feedback signals for closed-loop systems

    Moku:Go Lock-in Amplifier

    Moku:Go’s Lock-In Amplifier (LIA) is now available for use in Multi-instrument Mode, allowing you to:

    • Configure two LIAs or an LIA and another instrument simultaneously on one hardware device.
    • Demodulate, output, and log two harmonics simultaneously.
    • Pre- or post-process the lock-in amplifier signals by deploying custom filters, control systems, or custom DSP with Moku Cloud Compile.

    Frequency Response Analyzer

    You can now take advantage of several new features in the FRA on Moku:Pro and Moku:Go. Improvements include:

    • Input signal measurements in dBVpp and dBVrms in addition to dBm.
    • Locking the frequency axis to prevent accidental changes during long sweeps.
    • Math channel support for arbitrary complex-valued equations involving the channel signals, enabling new types of complex transfer function measurements.
    • Sweep progress displayed on the graph.

    It’s easy to upgrade at no cost

    These updates give you new ways to optimize your workflow and enable more possibilities to accelerate research and discovery.
